IRISH RESEARCH LINKS

So far I haven't had as much time as I would have liked, in which to research the Irish ancestry links. However, I've bookmarked a few sites which look interesting. There is nothing worse that coming across an interesting site, thinking "I'll go back to that later" and never being able to find it again.

IRELAND TO AUSTRALIA TRANSPORTATION RECORDS 1791-1853
These records are held at the National Archives

TURTLE BUNBURY
Turtle Bunbury is an amazing Irish Genealogist and historian based in Ireland. His site is absorbing for anyone researching their Irish heritage. He is currently helping to pioneer a genealogy roadshow right across Ireland.
His own family biography shows a connection to the Abbotts (See the section entitled The Tenterden Connection on his site)

IRISH MERCHANT SEAMEN ACTIVE IN 1918-1921
The original records are held in the Southampton Civic Archives. A unique point is that most of the records have an accompanying photograph of the seaman.
